My new home
A quick run down of how sweet my new place is gonna be. Here are just a few good things:
- 2 blocks away from the Metro
- No roommate
- 3 Metro stops away from the Washington Mall (Downtown DC)
- Free (All utilities, phone, internet, TV, rent)
- 5 Stops away from Regan Airport (Makes it easy for peeps to visit)
- View of the Mall (Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Capital)
- Raquetball courts
- 2 Metro stops from Arlington National Cemetary
- Glass enclosed patio
- Washer/dryer in unit
- Sweet farmers market a block away every Saturday
- Garage Parking (If I keep my car, which I will)
Only a couple bad things:
- 33 miles away from where I’ll be working, probably a 1 hour commute or so, which is pretty typical in DC
- There has to be more bad stuff right, nope that about covers it
As the time approaches I am getting more and more excited. I am extremely excited to be an RA up there and meet lots of new people, and it sounds like I will have a fantastic place to stay. Haven’t officially heard from my other job yet, but I’m moving anyways. Got tickets to Itzhak Perlman today, some really good ones, so that will officially be the last concert of my Omaha Life.
